Flea Market finds with Branch Floral

April 9, 2009

Last Sunday Jillian took a trip to the always inspiring Alameda Flea Market with our friend Lauren from Branch Floral Design in San Francisco. We’ve noticed a big focus on unique boutonnières as of late, so Jillian and Lauren had a super idea to incorporate teeny found objects into these mini floral creations.

How cute would it be to attach a vintage lock to your bouquet and little keys to your hubby’s boutonnière? Maybe a little too cute, but we can’t help ourselves.

Left: pale yellow ranunculus bud, fiddle head fern and geranium leaf. Right: succulent and scabiosa bud.

This would be such a simple and fun way to incorporate a theme into your flowers. Even if you’re not doing your flowers yourself, you could probably give your florist the little objects you find and let her tie them into her designs.

Photos by Scott, of course.
