Did your heart skip a beat when you caught sight of this ethereal scene by Lisa Poggi & Gianluca Gasperoni? This dreamy venue is Casadamare Zanzibar. The team was inspired to venture out of Italy to create a wedding that really focused on intimacy and intention. The villa itself is in a remote area on the southeast side of the island, and even though there is tons for couple to see and do there, they kept the focus on a quiet, intimate celebration.

Tommaso of La Rosa Canina Firenze was behind the design + floral of this destination wedding, and Carolina of Tuscan Dream put it into production. They all wanted to stay true to the culture behind the location… While adding that much needed air of romance!
Carolina says, While staying at the villa and working on the shoot we used all our free time to get to know the surroundings, walking around the village and get to see the local life. The simplicity of the homes, the lack of material goods and the strong interaction among the families gave us a different prospective of what life can be.
These island vibes are a neat way to change up the aesethic when it comes to the reception, yeah?
Lisa Poggi explains, We were lucky enough to have a location that almost speaks for itself and an island that not only inspired us, but also changed us deeply. We spent the first two days rolling around Zanzibar and researching the colors and atmospheres we would love to photograph and just taking a walk through Stone Town made us realise that, even if we were in one of the most colourful island on the planet, the true Zanzibarian colors are the desaturated ones: greens that almost fade into grey, blues that are mixable with the yellows of the sand and of course the browns and ochre that permeates the landscapes. The final product is an extreme representation of our idea of intimate, organic and moving wedding, where two uncommon souls can merge together with the nature that surrounds them.
