Attempting to pull off a wedding theme as beautiful and historic as Dia de los Muertos may seem like a major risk to say the least, but the team at Petite Pomme Design just proved to us that not only is incorporating this holiday (or Halloween or any other holiday for that matter) totally attainable, but modernized and relatable as well. Pictures from Linda Tran Photography + just how they did it in the post!

They started off with Dia de los Muertos in mind, but knew it had to be edgy and romantic, and have a modern flair. A dreamy courtyard like the one at PRIM always helps!

The first decision was to modernize the concept. We created a papel picado design using a modern geo pattern and updated it with a vertical format. The same geometric pattern was used for place cards, napkin rings, and even our three-tiered half naked cake! Copper chargers and a laser cut overlay added refinement to the tablescape vignette. The grey, black ,and turquoise accents gave the right amount of fun we needed. Tying in simple DIY pieces like terra cotta pots and vases made the shoot something a bride can easily recreate.

The color palette was perfect for October without going overboard, with terra cotta, peach, black, slate gray, and teal.
