Autumn berry and blush wedding inspiration
Even just based on this incredible first photo, we’ve already fallen in love with Whitney Nichols‘ style. Whitney took the photos, whipped up the floral design, and styled everything you’ll see below. She sees tons of fall weddings in the Finger Lakes region, so she knows firsthand how difficult it can be to break away from your typical color palette this time of year. Lucky for all you fall brides (and hostesses!) the scene she created at Chateau Lafayette Reneau is a far cry from typical.
How about every pretty flower under the sun in your bouquet?
Whitney says, The berry and rose hues of the floral arrangements, blush linen napkins, and accents of pale pink silk ribbon encapsulate the lingering warmth of the last days of summer. Paired with fresh pies, tarnished silver decor, and the fading green and gold landscape of the vineyard, it goes without saying that the start of fall can be a truly beautiful time to plan a wedding.
Terra Rosa was behind the silver table decor + calligraphy.
There are so many wonderful local vendors in this area and the two that continually impress me the most are two local flower farms, Plenty of Posies and Littleflowers. With fully stocked booths at the weekly farmers market here in Ithaca, I’ve seen countless brides fill buckets with in-season blooms for their bouquets and centerpieces. With my own bucket in tow, both owners of these two flower farms supplied me with the most gorgeous fresh cut dahlias, zinnias, roses, celosia, and lisianthus. Pulling from the landscape, I added hydrangea that had started to turn a gorgeous pink hue thanks to the brisk morning temperatures that comes with the end of summer. And with raspberry season in full swing during the late summer and early fall months in NY, it seemed fitting to feature a fresh raspberry pie as the dessert of choice for this wedding inspiration.
Beyond magical. Congrats to Whitney + everyone below for a successful fall shoot!
