Calligraphy workshop brunch

We should probably just call this summer what it is: the summer of brunch. From this backyard brunch to the wedding ideas with Minted we shared, we’ve been all about that brunch as of late. Event designer Jenny Cookies loves a good brunch too, and for her latest she decided to make a fun calligraphy workshop out of it. Minted designer Brandy of Marabou Design led the workshop and Kelly Clare Photography was behind the lens.

On the theme, Jenny says, I settled on a cobalt blue and lavender color palette. It felt fresh and different from what had been done in the past. My cobalt blue glass collection was happy to make an appearance as it’s a color I don’t use very often. After seeing how pretty it all came together, I need to incorporate it more often.

She also set up this impressive pastry bar and offered up coffee and mimosas for attendees. A must!

Each guest had their own personalized place setting hand lettered by Brandy. We included all the tools needed for our lesson, which makes it nice so no one is having to get up and down and eliminates materials having to be passed around.

If our weekends look even a little like this, we’ll be happy campers for sure.
