Can you tell we’re all about hair + flowers today? (Peruse this morning’s post if you can’t.) But really, is anything better than an event that has cocktails, a floral workshop, AND a braid bar? Pretty sure no. These shots from This Rad Love were captured at Urban Shindigs’ very first “Crowns & Cocktails” workshops, which went down in CC Vintage Rentals’ awesome warehouse in San Diego.
Tawnee of Urban Shindigs says, As guests arrived, we directed them to the bar, where Please & Thank You served up craft cocktails. Each Cocktail came with a geometric gold stir stick from The Roc Shop and was served up in some beautiful vintage glassware from Not My Dish Tasty treats were also served from Jenny Wenny Cakes.
The star of the workshop was our amazing flower sorcerer, Danielle, from Luxe Botanique. She taught us the basics of making a floral crown side piece to be positioned anywhere on the head. We set up a variety of different flowers and colors to choose from to ensure every attendee had a custom crown fit for a queen! We discussed the history of floral crowns, as well as their mark in modern society today. She also taught us the basics and design of using different shapes and weight of flowers to ensure our crowns looked and felt complete.
Onto the Braid Bar! Erin Dunaway crowned each lady and braided the ‘do with fresh flowers.
Might wanna whip these up at home (tonight?), Cakies…
