We feature so many amazing engagements and weddings on le blog, but it doesn’t stop there you guys. A wise person once said that a marriage should be even more beautiful than your wedding day, and we think the essence of that statement is really captured in this first anniversary shoot by Tealily Photography. Tealily photographed David + Jenny’s wedding and then returned a year later to commemorate the day with them. It’s an intimate look inside their hearts, their home, and their life together. The whole session is shot in film too, giving it so much warmth, light, and beautiful, buttery soft texture.

David and I were born half a world away. He was born in Chicago and I was born in Taipei. Both of our families decided to move to Auckland when we were young. We grew up in neighboring suburbs and had plenty of common friends although our paths never crossed until we both moved to Sydney for our jobs. Six years later we tied the knot in Fiji.
The anniversary shoot was simple but consisted of many elements that meant a lot to us. It had our favorite local bakery which reminded us of time spent together in France when David was studying after we got engaged, our first home together as a married couple, and the fun we have preparing a brunch to enjoy with friends on a lazy Sunday morning.
Shortly after the shoot we discovered we were going to be a family of three soon. We are now even more appreciative of those serene moments captured at the shoot as we embark on the exciting journey of becoming parents.
