Not gonna lie, we’re still on kind of a Hawaii high after Tuesday’s Aloha bridal shower. So it’s only fitting we continue the theme into the weekend too. The bride- and groom- to be Casey + Justin met in Hawaii where he lived and she was going to school. On the week of their wedding, they opted for an e-sesh in the same place their love began – their favorite spot on an Oahu beach.

Casey says, The beautiful photos captured by The Great Romance Photography will forever remind us of not only the day before we got married, but all of the memories along the way as boyfriend and girlfriend.

C + J met at the restaurant they both worked at while going to school, although Casey’s stay in Hawaii was temporary. While they both lived there, they hiked, enjoyed the local food, and watched lightning storms together. How fun!

Their love story…

After four months of dating, we had fallen in love, but it was time for me to move back to San Diego to finish my degree at SDSU. A year later, Justin moved to San Diego where we enjoyed new activities together like time at the beach with our chocolate lab, enjoying the culinary delight of San Diego, farmers markets, and yearly snowboarding trips.

Growing up surfing in Hawaii, Justin loves the similarities and stark differences that snowboarding offers – especially the cold, fresh winter air.  If it were 100% up to him, we would have gotten married in the snow, so naturally the snow filled mountains made a perfect landscape for his proposal. After a day of snowboarding with our friends in Park City, Justin took me alone on a route off the beaten path where he faked a fall to stop for the perfect backdrop. There, with our butts in the snow, Justin proposed to me after 7 years of dating.
