I've been scrapbooking for years and one of my problem what to do with leftover ribbons and laces. I can't afford to throw them away. It is such a blessing to read this post, as I already have an idea on what to do with them. Sewing them together to have the desired length would make a colorful and crafty chandelier.

Stay Tuned! My dad and I are making one of these and more for my Chicago wedding on June 4. We have been making it for what seems like forever! I just came across this post though as I was trying to explain to someone else what we were doing. This is exactly it! Maybe Sarah Rhoads, our photographer, will submit pics! :)

What a unique idea! It could even be kept and used as decorative curtains in a new home, or possibly even done with a spring loaded rod to fit door ways and windows.

Oh, this makes me so very happy! I saw this and all it's loveliness in person at Hitched and fell in love. Took a bazillion photos of it at the event so I could recreate it and fancy that, you supplied me with a tutorial. Thanks for making my day!

I made a ribbon chandelier for my own wedding 2 months ago! It looked absolutely beautiful! We hung it from a tree branch and we got married underneath it!

This is so fun! What an exciting way to add some color to the outdoors. You could get a wire ring and do the same thing too, creating a true "chandelier" effect.
