100 Layer Cake

This styled shoot comes to us from a team of talented folks that recently collaborated at an interactive workshop called Styled. The Workshop, a two day workshop for photographers and anyone interested in learning about styling. It’s hosted by owner and creative director of Amanda O’Shannessy Creative and One True Love Vintage Rentals, so you know the details are just going to be gorgeous. I was inspired by the idea of incorporating lots of color but in a glamorous, sophisticated way. Kohl Mansion, an incredible historic mansion just outside of San Francisco, is full of these amazing persian style carpets and mint colored walls. These laid the framework for our navy, mint, gold, fuschia, and ivory color palette. Lush florals by Twigss Floral Studio, incredible dresses designed by Amanda Garrett and Carol Hannah, and amazing hair and make-up by Melissa Hoffman helped us achieve a glam yet bohemian vibe while our amazing photographer, Jessica Burke, captured each detail to perfection.
