You know what’s awesome? When vendors huddle together and whip up a little something something to get us in the mood for one of our favorite seasons. Love Me Sailor, Mr. Caballero Creative, and Geronimo Balloons, friends and amazingly creative peeps in the biz, have a little shoot to share. It may be 100 degrees where they live (LA), but the need for some Fall inspiration couldn’t be greater. We’re ready for some Autumn snuggle time, and the rich oranges, golds, chocolates, and sweet treats in this shoot hit the spot.

A true collaboration of creative minds – we love it! Word on the street is these folks have started to meet weekly to bounce ideas off one another, so we can only imagine what they’re scheming for their next grand affair!

Have a great weekend! We’ll be back next week with some amazing weddings plus extra special honeymoon deals from Ever After Honeymoons. Couples you wont want to miss this, seriously!

Summer was fantastic, but aren’t you so ready for Fall now? Since today is the first official day of Fall, and it’s Friday, we thought it would be nice to jazz things up with a glowing inspiration shoot (literally). Juli Vaughn, Event Designer behind the pretty madness you’re about to see, rocked this shoot like no other. Oh, and the below print reading, “Keep calm and sparkle on” ? Juli made it herself! This lady is full of ideas that we wish we could buy and put on our walls!

Love the “XO” lighting as much as we do, and dying to know how Juli made it? Take notes:

First, I twisted all of the light bulbs (purchased at World Market) out of their sockets and set them aside. Then, using an x-acto knife, I cut a poster size black foam board in half and penciled out the X and O on the back. I cut 10 small (1/2 inch) squares along the penciled line of the letters, popped in the light sockets, and screwed in the light bulbs on the front. Last, I poked holes in the top of the foam board, threaded some ribbon through, and hung them inside the frames. Voila!

Juli, on the inspiration behind the concept:

I wanted to focus attention on the dreaminess of stars rather than the cliché nautical way they are normally portrayed. I started with the colors of a sky strewn with stars: Indigo, Black, and shades of Gold. Then I looked for flowers and DIY elements that were reminiscent of a star shape or had a little sparkle. I lucked out the day of the shoot because I found yellow peonies – they’re super hard to find but so gloriously fluffy and look like a burst of flame! I was thrilled when MyLife Photography and Elisha Sewell agreed to collaborate because they’re both so amazingly talented.

Thanks for sharing your amazing talents, ladies! Keep calm and sparkle on!

This week we’re starting off with a really fun sale in the Pop-Up ShopPlurabelle Calligraphy!

Molly’s way with pen & ink are remarkable, and we love that she’s all for people dressing up their everyday correspondence with something unexpected and pretty. Pick up a custom address stamp (we’ll be getting these ourselves!), or have her pen your entire invite suite and even reception menus.

Can’t decide? You can always just have your names done up as a little memento of your love. Awwww.

You can see tons of Molly’s beautiful work on her site, in case you need a bit more convincing. Or just pop over and check out what’s available now!
