100 Layer Cake

Between now and January 10th Brides will be accepting couple entries for the Brides Live Wedding via Facebook. All you and your sweetie need to do is head to their Facebook page and enter to win the luxury wedding at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort (such a pretty venue!). This is the first event of its kind and we’d love if one of our Cakelets won!

This luxury dream wedding will be orchestrated by superstar event designers Mayra Castillo and Xochitl Gonzalez of A.a.B. Creates and feature amazing wedding details curated by Brides editors, a gorgeous wedding dress and shoes provided by David’s Bridal, hairstyle by TRESemmé (topped with a veil from Bel Aire Bridal), dapper tuxedo from Jos. A. Bank, and stunning wedding rings by Simon G., and a beautiful wedding cake baked and decorated to perfection by Buddy The Cake Boss Valastro of the world-renowned Carlo’s Bakery.

Once the winning couple is selected, fans will log onto Facebook to watch as new wedding details are announced and vote on their favorite flowers, cake designs, wedding dresses, registry picks and more! When the big day finally arrives, your fans (us included, of course) will watch your wedding—and all of the amazing details they helped select—streamed live on Facebook April 7th! Yep, you’re going to be a celeb plus have a free wedding, receive a dream registry from Target, then hop on a JetBlue flight to the Cayman Islands for a little rest, relaxation, and umbrella drinks. Plus, as a gift to you, Brides Live Wedding will make a donation to the charity of your choice. It’s a win win win situation!

Great story behind why Erstwhile carries the assortment they do:

In the beginning engagement rings were just part of the assortment among other vintage jewelry classics by the likes of Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels.. but over time, people got really excited about the engagement rings that we had so we started to carry more. Our popularity as the go-to for antique engagement rings grew, and we now focus on antique engagement rings and Victorian jewelry.. specifically,  jewelry that tells a story. We particularly love the Victorian Gothic styles of mourning jewelry made popular by Queen Victoria when she was mourning the death of Prince Albert.  Mourning jewelry is made from materials like rich gold incorporating jet and black onyx.
