Each class will be a hands on, informative two hour workshop taught by Meg and Annie where you’ll learn about the flowers you’re working with, how to properly prep and care for them, as well as the aesthetics behind creating beautiful and unique arrangements. All tools, materials, and flowers provided as well as drinks and snacks. Doesn’t that sound divine!?

From Corbin… I’ve always found such inspiration in the work of impressionist paintings – the soft gestures, subtle palette, and ethereal nature completely encapsulate the look I love to create in my own wedding photography. There’s no better season than springtime in Paris and when conceptualizing this inspiration shoot I wanted to bring together a group of artisans who could translate a vision of the impressionist inspired garden party. I collaborated with Ceci New York who so beautifully captured the nude & grey palette I had in mind with touches of ombre throughout.

Ashley Brooke Perryman, our remarkable makeup and hair stylist, used soft pink tones to create a romantic look for our model and we loved the natural braided hair that so many brides are drawn to right now – it was the ideal effortless look for our bride.  Delphine’s gowns were paired with custom jewelry from Kristin Morris in antique golds and pink.

The typeface was reminiscent of the belle-epoque iron works and café signage. I’m particularly drawn to texture, and Ceci used a canvas envelope to bring in a painterly quality to the invitation set. The result was complete perfection.

Nancy and Anne of Fete in France found the perfect spot for our tablescape – the Commanderie in Montmartre. They hand died our ombre napkins, used antique containers for the florals, and sourced an iron table that created the garden party aesthetic. We paired our table design with stunning gowns from Delphine Manivet, whose delicate lace and soft white material reminds me of antique French tea dresses, completely apropos for our styling and design concept. 

The talented bakers at Sugarplum Cake Shop completed the design with a hand painted blue and nude toned cake that featured subtle brushstrokes and watercolor details.

We’re loving those sweet Mr & Mrs paddle signs designed by Little Retreats. The gold accent border adds the perfect touch of glam to such an elegant black & white invitation suite designed by Jen Simpson Design.

The bride was fashioned with an original Tessa Kim birdcage veil with black feathers and carried a beautiful antique brooch bouquet carefully crafted by Blue Petyl.

Loving the pattern and textures in their gorgeous Mr. & Mrs. banner handcrafted by Courtney of Joyful Joyful Designs. Cute idea to drape above the intimate sweetheart table.

The umbrellas? We’re dying over those too! Everything in this shoot is so thought out and executed beautifully. From the vintage pieces to antique mirror trays used as platters for the dessert bar, umbrellas hung on string lights taking the place of chandeliers, and gold tinged mercury glass – stunning.

We were so excited to hear that many of the vases and platters in the shoot consisted of jars and old glass vases that were painted or treated to give it a vintage look (very budget-friendly).

Originally inspired by the modern Hollywood city scape, we arranged a variety of different sizes and shapes in matte black, ivory, clear and gold to resemble the eclectic mix of structures. They were paired with a mix of gorgeous ivory flowers. A dessert table is a must at weddings nowadays. It gives guests options making it fun rather than the traditional slice of cake. Miso from Miso Bakes slaved over a gorgeous setup of cakepops, sugar cookies, cupcakes and chocolate truffles. She also created the simply stunning black and ivory cake. We secured an ivory backdrop with a black raindrop beaded curtain in front to add that touch of glam!

The table is set with classic Match Pewter Tableware and Sugahara glasses. Custom papers designed by Pancake & Franks pair perfectly with the gunmetal linen napkin and provide just the right balance of classic and edgy. The sweet finish to the setting is the charming heart paperweight accented with rope and bittersweet… a thoughtful takeaway gift for each guest. The whole look is finished with linen stripe armchairs and side chairs in grey and natural linen from H.D. Buttercup.

In order to create a soft and neutral backdrop for the dramatic sculptural piece of driftwood at the center of the table, they started with a natural table linen and a gorgeous Brahms Mount overlay. Imitating textures under the sea, they tucked Dusty Miller and vibrant orange Dahlias in the driftwood as if were organically growing there.

Simple elegance at its finest!

Drawing inspiration from fiery sunsets and warm evenings ‘round the campfire, this inaugural workshop gave students the opportunity to create a lush tablescape, styled with found objects and locally foraged botanicals.  At this workshop, students not only learned the basics of floral design, such as flower identification and composition, but they also learned how to implement some of our signature touches, from creating charming vignettes using vintage vessels, to incorporating local foliage into arrangements and creating a centerpiece with movement and balance.
