Based out of San Francisco, CA, they started their business in 2007 and since have grown into one of the largest online tie retailers in the US.
The tie business was actually started by the founders’ father in Germany in 2005. Then in 2007 I entered the world of neckties and we opened Bows-n-Ties.com. Today they have online tie retailers in Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Russia, France, Italy, and the US. And are planning to expand into the south American market by the end of this year (Brazil).
They carry small European boutique designer brands, but also have their own in-house design team and occasionally hire freelance fashion designers that help us in creating beautiful, elegant, and stylish neck-wear for men. Because they produce directly they’re able to offer high quality, handmade silk ties for less than $20. Hello!
Since almost 50% of their biz is wedding related, they now specialize in neckwear for groom and groomsmen. There’s a new section to the site that will make it easier for wedding parties to find matching ties to their bridesmaids dresses. What’s Borrowed? Borrowed is a wedding show founded by creative folks on a mission to connect, inspire and transform the minds of creative couples (like you!). There’s gonna be pop-up shops, free tastings, guest blog speakers, and one HUGE wedding photo + cinema giveaway by 2 Birds, 1 Day (aka Jillian McGrath Photography & Birdhouse Productions)!
