We bring you to the second half of Amanda + Nick’s breathtakingly flawless wedding! Part one gave us a close look at Amanda’s stunning Monique Lhuillier tulle and beaded gown and dazzling accessories. Now we move to the details (if you could only hear the excitement in our voice), where crystal chandeliers and tulle join together to set the perfect ceremony backdrop, sequin and ruffle table linens exist, and dahlias sit pretty in orange, pink, and peach ombre tones.

Shredded silk habatoi fabric curtains in pink and peach ombre tones helped to create a separation between the ceremony and cocktail hour.

I loved the idea of a head table but with 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen plus their dates I knew the table was going to become a huge eye sore so we decided to create a giant paper flower backdrop to hang behind the table. With hours of work and crafting parties we created the 10 ft by 10 ft backdrop using the Pom tutorial from Martha Stewart Weddings online. We used multiple shapes and sizes to create dimension as well as added in some silk flowers for more texture. It came out so amazing and turned into the perfect wedding centerpiece.

I wanted the main décor to be vibrant flowers scattered all over the barn so I searched high and low for the perfect vendor. I was lucky enough to come across an award winning Dahlia farm in Northern California early on in the process and they were able to actually plant flowers for my wedding to be ready just in time for the big day. I have to say the flowers were the most amazing things I have ever seen. They absolutely made the wedding and were incredibly affordable. I ordered the remaining flowers from a wholesaler and my bridesmaid and some friends all came together the day before the wedding to create all of our bouquets and centerpieces. It was so much fun and everything turned out amazingly.

Table linens to die for! The head table was covered in an ivory sequin linen (yeah, we said sequin linen!). Paired with the pom wall, the chandeliers and feather-beaded “Bride” and “Groom” signs – best head table ever!

Why haven’t we seen more table linens like this before? That’s it – no cocktail table should be without ruffles!

Have we mentioned how much we LOVE this wedding? Wardrobe change number two takes Amanda from a stunning Monique Lhuillier to a fun and flirty Ivy & Aster dress.

Amanda’s attention to detail and passion for creating a glamorous handmade wedding will forever inspire event designers and brides (and us!). The warmest congratulations to Amanda + Nick!

When Nina + Amir play by their rules, nothing short of amazing happens. DIY wedding? Not this one. N + A left it all up to the pros! There were no vendors involved in this wedding by the way. So who exactly helped to pull off this eclectic nouveau carnival wedding? A group of crazy talented, “Party Enablers”. Amir’s words, not ours (but we may soon ban vendors to replace with that). The always refreshing photos, captured by Max Wanger, tell the entire story – from atop an L.A mountain to a colorful reception at the Marrakesh House. You’ll die when you see what Party Enablers, Bash, Please dished out for this partay.

From Kelly & Paige of Bash, Please:

Nina + Amir are two worlds but one heart. Both actor/comedians, she hailing from NYC and he from San Francisco, they have a love for eclectic, dramatic, flair and crazy fun. Their wedding was bound to be colorful in more ways than one. Bright pops of modern patterns mixed with French Moroccan elegance meet up at one of L.A.’s eco-friendly venues, Marrakesh House. Nina + Amir allowed us to take the traditional elements of a wedding and spin them into nouveau carnival. There’s a modern interpretation of a Persian Sofreh and a hookah lounge, both a nod to his heritage. We hired a tarot card reader and a fortune teller, a nod to her whimsical interests. Comedians dressed up as drag queens interviewed guests on video. A gospel choir played their processional. Pops of color in rainbow hues mixed with black and white sophistication set the tone for a playful reception. Nina wore a hot pink Valentino party dress for dancing.

Nina had one wardrobe change throughout the night, Amir had 5 different boutonnieres to change up throughout the night – each in a different color. To tie in all the pops of color, each table was assigned a color and the flowers (gorgeous pink peonies, hot pink nerine, pink heirloom roses, orange sandersonia, orange mums, yellow ranunculas, yellow dahlias, craspedia, acacia, green lisienthus, mint, purple clover, purple scabiosa) were arranged in an ombre effect in that shade.

Let’s all take a deep breath, pop open some pretty pink bubbly and welcome 2012 in style. While you’ve been enjoying the holidays, we’ve been sneaking in some work time to make sure the new year is an unforgettable one for you. Gorgeous weddings, engagements, inspirational shoots and tutorials await! Shall we mosey into the new year with a little vintage Hollywood glam?

We’re loving those sweet Mr & Mrs paddle signs designed by Little Retreats. The gold accent border adds the perfect touch of glam to such an elegant black & white invitation suite designed by Jen Simpson Design.

The bride was fashioned with an original Tessa Kim birdcage veil with black feathers and carried a beautiful antique brooch bouquet carefully crafted by Blue Petyl.

Loving the pattern and textures in their gorgeous Mr. & Mrs. banner handcrafted by Courtney of Joyful Joyful Designs. Cute idea to drape above the intimate sweetheart table.

The umbrellas? We’re dying over those too! Everything in this shoot is so thought out and executed beautifully. From the vintage pieces to antique mirror trays used as platters for the dessert bar, umbrellas hung on string lights taking the place of chandeliers, and gold tinged mercury glass – stunning.

We were so excited to hear that many of the vases and platters in the shoot consisted of jars and old glass vases that were painted or treated to give it a vintage look (very budget-friendly).

From the fabulous stylist:

Originally inspired by the modern Hollywood city scape, we arranged a variety of different sizes and shapes in matte black, ivory, clear and gold to resemble the eclectic mix of structures. They were paired with a mix of gorgeous ivory flowers. A dessert table is a must at weddings nowadays. It gives guests options making it fun rather than the traditional slice of cake. Miso from Miso Bakes slaved over a gorgeous setup of cakepops, sugar cookies, cupcakes and chocolate truffles. She also created the simply stunning black and ivory cake. We secured an ivory backdrop with a black raindrop beaded curtain in front to add that touch of glam!

Now that they’ve shared their secrets, who’s thinking of having a vintage glam themed wedding?

We used a very natural palette to highlight the raw organic materials used for decor. Eco-friendly rustic chic elements were used for every detail. Seasonal flowers, twine, recycled glass, coffee paper, driftwood, local hardwood, leather, and even stones were paired, and the end result was both earthy and opulent.

An oversized dining table layered with many textural changes in organic materials, refines the tablescape and blends to it’s surroundings. Typical dining chairs were replaced with streamlined benches made of 100% teak.

Keeping the focus on the tropical surroundings, chic lounge furniture, pillow seating and teak serving trays created a tempting, gathering space for sunset.

Next plane to Costa Rica? We want in! Ladies, thank you so much for sharing your amazing talents with us!
