Intimate San Francisco foodie wedding inspiration at The Cheese School

Planning a wedding in the city, you can expect to come across a few unique venues. The Cheese School in San Francisco not only nails the perfect mix of urban and lush, it’s the kind of space that any foodie couple could totally embrace as a place to say I Do. It’s got two intimate spaces within it, one that Buzzworthy Events gave a modern and bright feel to and another that called for a moodier vibe. A beautiful venue + to die for eats? BrittRene Photo sure had a lot to capture with this one.

Ashley of Buzzworthy Events says, I really love a great space. The Cheese School is a really intimate, luscious garden space in the heart of the Mission District. They offer satiable catering for events and weddings and they are an event venue, which not many people know. Cheese is their focal point, but their other menu items are just as delicious… The venue has two major components to it, first a cafe as you enter their space which is overflowing with fruit trees, a brick floor, and lush plants and life. As you continue on toward the back of the space, they have an atrium with an outdoor kitchen, complete with a hearth and pizza oven, with a back room for entertaining.

The walls are a beautiful blue-grey with a vaulted ceiling and cracked cement floors. I am a huge fan of this space. I used gauzy linens in dark grey with black matte plates and flatware. Artichokes and deep reds mixed with passion vine for the centerpiece. The turnout was very fall feeling. I threw in cathedral candles that had a grander presence than taper candles, which t created the height that matched the ceiling. Marble slabs were also used to rest the candles on. We created copper foiled menus, which gave the tables a beautiful glow from the reflected light on them.

Did we mention that dessert was a chocolate fondue with rice krispie treats, chips, fresh fruit, and a champagne bar to top it all off? Yum.
