It’s Friday… You’ve already discovered a unique California venue… And now, Claire Pettibone’s latest, her Romantique bridal collection, is here for your perusal. Best day ever. These designs are too dreamy (as if Claire Pettibone could not be!), but this particular collection really speaks to the bride who wants to ensure that her dress completely reflects her personally. Adorned in lace and floral of course. Ready to see what Sarah Kate captured?

Do you die? The placement of the lace appliqué and the open backs were a major consideration in these designs because they’ve noticed how many brides want a dress that enhances their body art too so they can really express their personality through the gown. Because Claire Pettibone is known for soft, ethereal gowns with lace, floral, and feminine features (imagine how a gorgeous tattoo looks with this back), naturally she wanted to give them a special focus with this collection!

A few words from Claire…

I always love to tell a story with my collection, and this season I was inspired by the prairie and the old west. This collection is all about that quiet, big sky mood, and the stillness that I find dreaming about another time and place. The photos the Sarah Kate captured in this spare, slightly distressed setting are very peaceful, and yes, utterly romantic, and reallycapture the spirit of the collection.

Ultimately, there is no one “type” and the gowns can be so personalized by the way a bride styles her look, and just her own vibe thatshines through. If you’re a country girl at heart, go for cowboy boots. If vintage classic, then maybe incorporate some Art Deco details. Flowers, gardens, the vast beauty of natural settings, there are so many possibilities for amazing weddings! Start gathering ideas that you love, and then see what story begins to emerge. Your gown is a key part of telling that story, and I believe it should express who you are as a person, as well as look amazing.

A few muses… boho babe, garden nymph, modern Victorian

One of the best parts about Romantique? The price point. All are less than $3,000 AND production was kept at home in Los Angeles with the same skilled artisans. Perfect for the couture bride without the couture budget.

I always say to my clients, “Don’t try to be something that isn’t you, just because you’re a bride”. Think about what you have consistently been drawn to your whole life. The things that we love as a child and along our path speak to us in a way that is beyond fashion and trends, so try to incorporate details that resonate deeply. It’s a very meaningful day, so make sure your gown reflects who you are, and who you will be in this beautiful partnership.

Now try to tell us you won’t come back to these photos at least once this weekend! xo
