California ranch wedding: Mary + Gabriel

June 10, 2015

There was no theme for M + G’s ranch wedding—just a warm, laidback, and fun celebration in the heart of Carmel Valley. Actually, that sums up their personalities pretty well too. Did we mention they were together for 9 years before getting engaged? Once they chose Holman Ranch and discovered Edyta Szyszlo via 100lc, they were all about mix-matching classic romantic elements with playful, modern accents that reflected their style. Beginning with a mega cute invitation suite:

Remember the incredible bouquet from Monday’s mid-century modern feature? Studio Mondine whipped up those florals too. Some serious talent, we think.

Mary says, All the signage, save the dates, invitations, paper goods and packaging for magnet favors were DIY with the help of our friends. The biggest DIY was my husband building the escort card stands the week before the wedding with the help of my cousin’s boyfriend. I was still working and he offered to build it since we had not yet found the best way to display our feather escort cards. He was a lifesaver!

Parting words, c/o the new Mrs… One of the best parts of the wedding was stepping away from everyone for the golden hour—we were golf carted away to the beautiful backdrop of Carmel Valley and gave us a few moments to ourselves to enjoy being husband and wife. The entire day went by so fast, it was amazing to just take it all in with the amazing view. The second most memorable part was when I gave my mom my bouquet in lieu of a bouquet toss. She was definitely taken by surprise, but it was a small way for me to thank her for everything she has done… Our wedding was everything we envisioned and more with the help of our vendors, family, and friends. When the big day came, we shook off any remaining worries and just enjoyed every moment of celebrating the magical day with all our loved ones.

Those memories sound lovely. Congratulations, Mary and Gabriel!
