It may be Halloween, but this sunny SoCal wedding with the dreamiest of floral arrangements simply couldn’t wait until Monday. Ya feel? E + J are both wedding photographers themselves, so they set the bar high when it came to their own big day. Even after seeing countless California venues, Saddlerock Ranch stole their hearts. Then fellow photog-friend Lindsey Johnson Photography swooped in to capture it all just how they’d always hoped…

Now that’s a bouquet!
They envisioned an intimate outdoor wedding (they had 85 guests; the venue allows 100) that they could dress up themselves. So they enlisted Twine Events for the planning + Oak and the Owl for the floral arrangements. Emily suggests hiring a wedding planner, even if you think you can do it alone or with the help of family, so you and your loved ones can be fully present the entire time. She says:
Being wedding photographers, we’ve seen people stress over the small stuff. But really, it’s just one big party that you get to celebrate with all of your friends and family. So make sure the big things are what you want, the venue, the main décor, and don’t stress over little things, or be glued to one idea.

A few notes from Lindsey… Even among all this gorgeousness, the real star of the day was the excitement and love between Emily and Justin along with their family and friends. There were really nothing but smiles to be seen in every direction. Both families so happily celebrating. Friends laughing and toasting. Emily and Justin giving each other these sweet and intimate stolen glances and kisses.
