Umm yeah, that’s where Annie and Austin said “I do”.  Can you imagine? It’s The Union Hill Inn in Sonora, CA and it just may be the sweetest chapel we’ve ever seen. A + A are both Bay Area transplants with a bunch of unique + totally fun interests that they wanted to include in the wedding. Annie says, We wanted to fill our big day with all our favorite things. We love the 70’s, outlaw attire and dressing to impress! If I had to label it I’d say rustic vintage soul-house. We’d also add timeless and classic into the mix. As you’ll see in these photos by Julie Pepin Photography, it was all a flawless fit.

Photog Julie sums it up pretty well… One of the day’s best DIY projects was a LEGIT LED soul train sign that Austin created from scratch. Other highlights included the bride’s gold sparkle shoes, amazing flowers from Lavenders Flowers based in LA, the officiant rocking some serious cowboy gear, the cutest personalized cake topper this side of the Mississippi, a homemade 3-tier rice crispy cake, the most gentlemanly tweed jackets and bow ties for the ring bearers, a nighttime escape to the super romantic chapel, a gold change of dress for the bride, and one serious “A-Team” dance party.

Besides the ceremony space, which immediately won them over (of course), the venue’s velvet decor and all those paintings sealed the deal for them.

Planning notes from the bride: My advice is to start early and do something on your list each week. You’d be surprised what you can knock out on your lunch break. The internet is your frien; use social media to borrow things from friends. Believe me, you can find a belt, veil, wedding jewelry, purse, shoes, centerpieces/decor for free if you are on a budget.

Cheers!
