She had a 3am campout at the Monique Lhuillier sample sale to snag this (brand new!) gown. Sooo worth it.
They discovered the Carondelet House via 100LC! A perfect fit, yes?
On the bridesmaid dresses: Their dresses were vintage inspired, all different, but with a common theme, beautiful delicate ivory lace over vintage floral patterns (inspired by Valentino). I designed each dress with each girl’s personality in mind. The dresses were made by my aunt, Marina Rodriguez – seamstress and alterations specialist.
We had a two year engagement and I started planning the day after he proposed to me, so for two years I planned out every detail of our special day. Nancy DIYed pretty much everything, from the backdrop to garlands to all the calligraphy—which she taught herself. Her advice to DIY brides? Time management is key, especially when you only have weekends free.
