Colorful floral wedding | Stylish Australian wedding

Want to design a wedding like nothing you’ve ever seen? Take bride Philly’s advice: 1) Don’t plan a traditional wedding just because you think you have to, 2) If you want to wear a colored dress… wear a colored dress! And 3) If what you want doesn’t sound very “wedding-like”—well, do it anyway! It’s your day and it should reflect you—just like W + P’s day was a complete representation of their fun, silly, colorful personalities, sparkly pink dress ‘n all.

Philly’s dress was custom designed by Kyha at One Day Bridal. She says, She totally got me from the moment I met her. As I was telling her all the things I liked from different dresses she sketched a design of the dress right there and then and it was perfect. I loved the whole process with her. Every appointment was so fun and seeing each stage of developing the custom star beading was amazing. Getting a dress made from scratch is both super exciting and scary at the same time. Seeing all the stages come together is really exciting but you also have to have full trust in the designer to make something you have never tried on before and hope it looks. I am so glad I let Kyha do her thing—she completely understood everything I wanted and absolutely nailed the end result!

My Nephew Auggie absolutely loves Will and has become obsessed with all things farming to be just like Will. He got a ride on toy John Deere Gator for his birthday that he spends all day tearing around in. I knew I wanted my two nieces, Hazel and Camilla and Auggie to be part of the day but at this stage we were not sure the girls would be old enough to walk down the aisle on their own. So my sister Bec and I were joking around that we could get Auggie to drive the girls down in the John Deere Gator and and cover it in flowers. He overheard this and thought it was the greatest idea ever… There was no way we could talk him out of it. He made the girls seat belts and everything. I ended up loving this part of the wedding! Auggie drove the girls straight down the Aisle perfectly, parked his Gator and took his place standing right up the front next to his favourite farmer and new Uncle, Will.

Their venue was a farm in Australia that’s been in the family for 40 years. Philly’s aunts and sisters were all married there, so she always knew that would be “the place”, but wanted to make the experience totally unique to them.

For the reception, Philly wore a fun bridal hat with custom embellishments by Sarah Hope Schofield Studio.

The team at Georgeous Occasions brought their playful, colorful vision for the reception to life with bright chairs, floral prints, and custom place settings in each of the different tablescapes. The bride’s sister owns Peace, Love, and Letterpress and used a custom floral pattern throughout the design. Here’s a peek at their rad invite!

My cousin Zoe came up to me half way through the night and said, stop for a second and look around at the whole day… Look at all the details and look at all your family and friends having so much fun on your big day. It was a really great thing to do because I remember it so clearly. The rest of the day is a blur to be honest so I’m so happy she made me do that!
