Desert elopement inspiration in Las Vegas

June 2, 2017

Did you all catch this morning’s bridal luncheon? Not a bad way to kick off the first Friday in June, right? We’ve got one more gorgeous shoot before heading into the weekend, and the neat thing about it (besides everything you’ll see in the photos—we’ll get to that!) is that wedding creatives from three states teamed up in Las Vegas to bring it all together. Thanks to the talented True Grace Photography for showing us how they pulled it off, on film, too…

Destination elopements are the dream, aren’t they? The creative team came from Santa Barbara, Chicago, and Vegas to craft all these desert-inspired details.

A few notes from Grace of True Grace Photography on shooting this session on 35mm film… There is a perfectly wild color scheme in the Mojave Desert that appeals to film photography. The ranges of green, from the blue-green juniper to the yellow-green banana yuccas, contrast with the rusty reds and rich golds of the sandstone.

Prettiest lil’ pinic for two. They celebrated at Red Spring in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area with a champagne toast, macarons, meringues and cake during their dry riverbed picnic.

All these blue hues looks srsly stunning agains the desert backdrop… Kudos to You Name It Events on bringing these scenes to life.

So many ways to be inspired by the desert. Shoutout to the team below for inspiring all you Cakies considering an elopement or desert wedding…
