A wedding at The Prospect House in Texas: Whitney + Nathan

Guys, we are srsly digging all the green + white weddings popping up in the 100LC inboxes as of late. Whitney + Nathan loved Prospect House in Texas (remember the last wedding we saw there? Have a feeling we’ll be seeing many more!) because it was the perfect blank slate to load up with greenery and a few modern touches. Thanks to Reigh Walker Photography for sending this our way!

Whitney’s bouquet from The Flower Girl was all about big white peonies + gorgeous greens.

Fun fact, Whitney thought she’d try ordering a dress online before trying it on, but it didn’t work out at all. But the second she tried on Katie May ‘Montreal’ from a&bé bridal shop she knew it was the one. Moral of the story? Try on that dress!

She says, We wanted to convey a modern-eclectic style with natural and muted tones. The Prospect House was the perfect canvas, we didn’t want to overdo with such a simply beautiful setting. We were minimal planners, which fit the simplicity of the scene. We just wanted to be married already!

Yep, green and white is all you need. They even pulled off a 130 person guest list in under $22K.

Everything about our relationship has been “quick”. We met and were engaged within 6 months, therefore, to continue the trend we had a 6-month engagement. We only have good memories about planning. I think it was helpful that we didn’t get caught up in the tiny details (easy to do!) and kept sight of the bigger perspective. I also believe that the ideal simplicity of Prospect House eliminated a need to decorate, which saved space in our heads.

Their biggest piece of advice: soak up all the moments you can together during the wedding. Congrats, you two!
