More and more we’ve been hearing about couples who want their wedding design to reflect their own interior design styles. That way, the wedding feels like a true extension of their personalities and the celebration is warm and inviting. An what better way to show off a love of vintage + eclectic design to 100+ guests than with a venue like Big Daddy’s Antiques? See what we mean in Laura Goldenberger‘s photos!

Misha says, Laura Goldenberger came highly recommended by a friend so we set up a dinner date and the rest was history. She tells such specific stories with her photography and I wanted her to tell ours. She has a way of portraying softness and light against texture and dimension, which is what we loved about her work. It is raw and edgy yet romantic and whimsical—she is a true artist.

The bride tried her hand at calligraphy for the gift, dessert, and bar signage, while her friend Kristina designed the welcome sign + seating chart. Isn’t it sweet?

Walking into Big Daddy’s, we knew immediately that this was where we would be married—it was a vintage treasure chest! We are both quite hands on so we loved that fact that they would customize the space to our needs and aesthetic. Having the flexibility to mold this venue enabled us to create an experience that would be unique for our guests and true to us at the same time. We had a lot of out of town guests so we wanted the ceremony and reception to happen at the same place for convenience. The ceremony took place outdoors in the garden followed by cocktail hour. Then, to turn up the romance we moved inside for dinner and dancing.

Last but not least, some fave moments via the bride + groom…
Groom: One of the most memorable moments for me was walking into the ceremony with my dad by my side. We had a lot of friends and family that flew in for the wedding and seeing them in the seats all at once was a bit overwhelming (but in a good way). There was nice, light-hearted moment when our dog/flower girl walked down the aisle with the wedding party before the music changed and Misha appeared. Seeing how beautiful she looked in her dress brought my heart rate right back up!
Bride: My favorite moments of the night were the dances—first with my new husband and then with my Dad. David and I danced to one of my all-time favorite songs, You Are The Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne and it was romantic, sweet and ended with a dip I didn’t know I could pull off! Then I danced to Ray Charles’ Ain’t That Love with my dad which was playful and fun and kicked off the dance floor for the rest of the night!

Cheers!
