Camp-themed Joshua Tree engagement shoot
The idea for a camp-themed shoot at Joshua Tree came up when Julie + Josh talked the e-sesh over coffee with Mandi of Mandilynn Photography (who Julie had actually met years ago and booked after seeing her work on social media, soo it was meant to be). The vision unfolded right when they talked about their love of hiking and camping. From there, the bride-to-be styled the whole thing, and Mandi showed ‘em off with these adorable photos:
Ready for adventure… These guys loaded their props, pups, and camping gear into the truck and headed to Joshua Tree National Park. Julie explains, We were feeling a little anxious, because it had been raining the entire drive there, but luckily, the rain let up for a couple hours so that we could scout for the perfect location. We made our way through the winding roads of the park, looking for anything that called our names. We wanted to capture it all, so we found wide open scenery, the iconic Joshua trees, and a massive rock structure.
Julie marked the map with their wedding spot… Sooo cute.
Such a fitting location for these two: Julie has memories of desert camping trips with her fam, and they both love hiking and campouts a ton, not to mention all the props they had collected from antique shops and garage sales.
Mandi says, Joshua Tree is a beautiful setting as is, and throwing in a cute living room/camping set and a beautiful couple just set off this evening together.
Anyone else pining for a fall camping trip now?
Thanks to Mandilynn Photography for sending these ones our way!
