That rusted metal paneling is beautiful, isn’t it? It has just the right amount of rustic charm to keep a wedding romantic at the same time. It’s even prettier inside. For Sarah & Hunter, the two lovebirds that met in Junior High and who wanted to keep their wedding simple and unique, Vista West Ranch was absolute. They were already starting with a no-fuss venue, so all they had to do was add soft ivory, peach and pink florals, succulents, and a few DIY decor elements.. like gold glitter dipped feathers. And have Sara & Rocky capture it all… Click here to jump over to the entire gallery of images! We love how Sarah’s blue suede heels are the only pop of color in the entire wedding, aside from her bridesmaid’s dresses. It’s a nice little surprise.

Sarah used peonies, lambs ear, succulents, silver brunia and white stock in her bridal bouquet.

Gold dipped anything is always a plus in our book. You can get this look by simply painting gold streaks on white feathers, or painting glue on the tips and dipping them into glitter. If you have a little more time on your hands you can also follow our DIY clay feathers tutorial for a pretty accent to your wedding decor.

Having succulents in your wedding can add up quickly. They actually saved a few dollars by purchasing theirs from a college greenhouse instead of a nursery. Nice tip!

To help cut down on costs they had a few friends make their cakes, and also had a friend shoot video.

Want to know what they splashed the cash on?

The venue and the photography. We are both huge environment people and so we wanted to make sure that the place we got married at felt welcoming and homey. We love Vista West so much with all its wood and the whole barn feel. We knew we wanted to get married outside but have the reception inside. Everything feel into place and it was the perfect place for us. Photos were so so huge to us. We knew we wanted people who would do an incredible job and so that’s why we picked Sara and Rocky. They were absolutely incredible and they didn’t just want to take our photos for our big day but actually cared about getting to know who we were. They had us over for dinner and we just talked and got to know each other. It was such a great time! We are so happy that we went with them and are so thankful that we have amazing photos that we get to share with our friends and family!
