DIY Michigan wedding: Jennifer + Joe
Yesterday we were all about tissue paper poms, and now today we’re really feeling the paper rosette look. Jennifer made an entire wall of them as the backdrop for their sweets table, and it’s pretty glorious. Growing up in West Michigan the water played a large role in their childhoods and summers together, so they choose a Lake house for its wrap around porch and panoramic views of the water. It was just the right amount of personal, creative and fun that they wanted with lots of DIY touches.
Jennifer’s bridal bouquet recipe: coral cottage roses, coral and white dahlias, white ranunculus, dusty miller, and succulents.
My favorite memory of the day was walking down the aisle with Joe right after we were married. I remember looking around and just smiling at how all of our friends and family were cheering and waving the flags I created. It was such a happy moment.
Our wedding took about a year and a ½ to plan. Our biggest hurdle was planning from afar. Joe and I live in Minneapolis and our wedding was held in my hometown of Muskegon, Michigan. It was very hard to plan or find anything until I hired Jamie from Heyday Day events. She was absolutely amazing at helping me realize my vision. Jaime has an amazing eye and is one of the most creative people I have ever met.
See what we were talking about? That paper rosette wall is awesome, right?
Congratulations J + J!

Being in this wedding was amazing. Advice for DIY - enlist good friends and provide lots of wine. Jen was the creative engine and her friends pitched in to help. Many hours of cutting and writing paid off. The place looked absolutly enchanting.

Thanks so much for letting us all relive the spirit of the Jen and Joe show! Jen and Co. did such a wonderful job of creating a spirit/theme of fun that lasted through the entire wedding and into the night. This will be one to remember!!!

Where are the earrings from? We're having a navy wedding and I have been looking for perfect bridesmaids gifts. Would really love if I knew where I could get the earrings! Is the packaging included?

Where were the photos in the woods taken? In what park/area?
