The Not Wedding 2013

First thing’s first – what is The NotWedding? It has become a killer alternative to a bridal show, complete with a sit-down dinner, an emotional ceremony and a dance-party reception. The hand-selected vendors perform their services as they would at a real wedding, and the “wedding guests” (you) get to hear the music, taste the cakes, and touch the linens… while enjoying a night of great food, dancing and surprises. You’ll walk out saying, “I want my wedding to be just like that!”. But first you got to walk in, and right now you can snag your tickets at a reduced price if you buy now.

Upcoming NotWeddings:

Atlanta on February 25 at Mason Murer Fine Arts Center

Los Angeles on February 27 at Lot 613

San Diego on March 5 at The New Children’s Museum

RSVP to get your tickets to any of these three locations now!

  3. I’m sorry, but this sounds odd to me – a fake ceremony? Isn’t that the one part of your wedding that can’t be made into a product for sale?

  4. Hey bw- Great point- we totally agree about the ceremony not being “for sale”. In fact, our ceremony is actually a vow renewal (the “NotCouple” is actually already married!), and our officiant has always been a spoken word artist we bring in who performs an emotional ceremony, encouraging guests to plan for their marriage, not just their wedding!

  7. I was the Event Coordinator for the Orlando NotWedding last year and it was an incredible experience! It was such a fun and unique twist on the traditional bridal show. It brought together a group of fabulous and creative event professionals to showcase their unique style and vision when given a simple concept and color palette. We worked as we would when creating the vision for a client–coming together as a cohesive team and creating something beautiful and totally unique to the couple we’re celebrating. It shows the guests of The NotWedding more than just a booth they set-up, but all of the details that come together to pull off a wedding. As a client and bride-to-be, you take a huge leap of faith when hiring your vendors purely based off their portfolio, website, and maybe a face-to-face meeting. This event gives you the firsthand experience of how they work an actual event, and how the bend and adjust when random situations are thrown their way. It’s definitely more fun than just meeting vendors at booths, and having everyone you meet jumble together in your brain and the swag bag full of cards that tell you very little.

  8. As one of the photographer for The Not Wedding in Atlanta, I could not be more excited for Monday to come! These vendors are some of the best in this business, and I am lucky to call them my friends. This event is way more than just a “bridal show” it is an experience. A beautiful testimony for the value of marriage. It is not about selling to brides. It is about reminding them to not only plan a wedding, but to also prepare and plan for a lifelong, healthy, and God centered marriage. It’s a blessing to be a part of it. Yay!
