Aside from being completely beautiful, one of the reasons we fell in love with Lola & Adam’s Osterville Cape Cod wedding was the fact that it was about as environmentally sustainable as you can get. Nearly every element in the totally creative planning and design was green, using recycled materials and local goods when available – right down to flowers, which were grown locally and displayed in seriously stunning apothecary bottles.
Plus – get a load of how amazing their style is. The bride & groom’s outfits were fashioned with a modern twist on 50s style, keeping their super colorful personalities in mind. So classy – love them!
During the ceremony, the couple invited friends and family to get up and share a song, a speech, or contribute in their own unique way. It made for a more non-traditional but very meaningful celebration.
Oh yes, this seating chart is extremely cute. Lola rescued this vintage game from a Brooklyn flea market and used it as an inventive and fun way for guests to find their tables. It could not match more perfectly!
The aforementioned flowers in apothecary jars. It took them a year to collect those jars, but we’d say it was definitely worth it!
Locally grown and sustainable cuisine was a must – Lola & Adam gave their guests info about which farms menu items came from and even traveled to the farms to personally pick up the steaks they’d be serving.
Super-crafty Lola also assembled paper cones from vintage paper (sheet music, book pages, postcards, etc.) to hang on the back of each guests’ chair, then filled them with birdseed for an animal- and eco-friendly way to send the couple off. Adorbs!

You can’t help but feel happy after looking at these photos. Gorgeous, Lola & Adam! We think you did an incredible job of expressing your personal (and classy) style while making it completely timeless. Best wishes to you both!

I saw this beautiful wedding in RealSimple magazine earlier this year and really admire the sensibility of their special day. It’s such a great balance of creative details but clearly within a reasonable, non-excessive budget. Very inspiring!
