Here’s a fun idea for those of you thinking about a destination wedding. The Florida Keys! They are practically a tropical island getaway, but don’t require your guests to worry about passports and international travel.
Southernmost House is a gorgeous late 19th century Victorian hotel at the very very tip of Key West (hence the name). It’s played host to Kings, Presidents, Pulitzer Prize winners, jazz legends, actresses, inventors, and aviators. It was a stately home, a speakeasy during prohibition, a glamorous café and night club and now a historic hotel and venue imbued with the stories of it’s legendary guests. It’s full of charm and sits between Duval Street and the ocean and promises to be the perfect spot for a warm weekend of wedding festivities.
Or perhaps file this away as a great honeymoon idea? We’d definitely spend a week laying by their pool if opportunity presented!

Simply Lovely!
i love this house. i saw it for the first time on a family trip to key west probably over 10 years ago now! it would make a gorgeous wedding spot for sure
i’m lucky enough to live right down the street from this great place, its beautiful! but too small for my giant family and our wedding unfortunately
I got married in Key West in Feb. and it was absolutely amazing!! I recommend to anyone: have a destination wedding there, your guest will have so much fun! Our reception was at the Audubon House and it was a magical at night!
Key West is an awesome wedding venue! Not that I am biased or anything like that just because my wife and I had our wedding there. The Southern Most House truly is a sight to see even if you aren’t getting married.
I am getting married in South Florida in March. I actually looked at this venue, but it wasn’t big enough for the amount of guest I am having. I am sure it is lovely for those having a smaller wedding. It looks like the Barbie dream house I always wanted.
