So I am posting this with mixed feelings, but I would have loved to hear this before I registered with Williams Sonoma last year. Basically, we have had a terrible time dealing with them post-wedding, and they currently owe us over $500 for items that we returned. We also have a gift card that was never received by us that they refuse to replace–and that, in my opinion, is terrible customer service. It makes me super sad to know that sweet friends of ours gave us a gift that we won’t be able to make use of (they only way I even know it was purchased is through their online registry system, otherwise, I never would have known that they even sent the gift card!).
So, if you do choose to register with Williams Sonoma: make sure you actually LOVE everything on your registry so you don’t have to deal with returns. If you return something to a store, they say you will get a gift card in the mail 6-8 weeks later. We have called 3 times and never received our return credit. This is for items returned 5-7 months ago. Totally unacceptable. They do have some great items, but I recommend registering with your eyes open.

Wow! This post has such amazing timing!
