As a nice follow up to Kristina’s wedding yesterday, we thought we share a peek into the studio of the lovely women who made her dress: Alix & Kelly.
They have a beautiful, light-filled studio in the fashion district of downtown LA and if you’re the kind of bride-to-be who’s not all that into bridal specialists wearing headsets as they usher you into a windowless dressing room, might we suggest you give Alix and Kelly a call? Their space is as refreshing, simple and inspired as their line. And you’ll be meeting with literally either Alix or Kelly, who are just as sweet and real as summer pie. No sample bouquets or pressure to buy a veil… just a lovely line of dresses to try.
And their bridesmaids dresses are completely beautiful too. Again simple, elegant, pretty… certainly something your maids would wear again. Plus their dresses come in 70 colors, with all sorts of interesting tones that are hard to find with some of the bigger labels.
Pretty, no? And they have a new line coming out in August/September which we cannot wait to see.
They’re appointment only, so call them. If you time it right you can swing by the flower market on your way over, which is always fun.

Their shop is very cute. The boutiques always have the best wedding dresses and definitely the most unique.
I’m in love….
The blue and pink dresses are amazing, love them!
I would love to work in a studio like that….beautiful!
The studio looks so calm. That seems important, no?
It is refreshing that a bridal boutique allows the bride to select her dress without high pressure sales tactics. Excellent Alix and Kelly!
I also got my wedding dress from Alix and Kelly – and I have to say, they are two of the nicest and most down-to-earth designers you will ever meet. They listen to you, they aren’t full of themselves, and they don’t charge a fortune!!! Their dresses are perfect for the casual, sexy, unique, or elegant bride in you
And they couldn’t be more comfortable…like butter on my skin. I just got my dress yesterday…same one as Kristina funny enough! Alix and Kelly deserve the attention – thanks for the post!
Their studio is absolutely gorgeous! I love how light and airy it is. It looks like a place of peace and calm – an important combo when dress shopping.
