Jennifer and her fiance Jeff picked apples at a local orchard, manually pressed them to make cider, bottled the cider, and made their own labels. This is serious DIY in action. They are of course from Portland, the craftiest city in the whole universe and also home to lots of lovely apples. The total cost, including the bottling and labels, was about $2.00/bottle. Pretty darn good as favors go.

This is SOOO hard but I think I have to go with the handpressed hard cider. The labels are fantastic and the fact that she pressed it herself shows some serious DIY credibility!
beautifully done and so personal. Love it!
This one HAS to win.
The labels are beautiful- and the idea so creative! This one has to win!
The labels are so creative and I love the paper in the background of the photo.
Woo hoo! I like this one. And the longer you keep it, the better the flavor gets. What a metaphor…

Start to finish the process embodies life at it’s fullest!
Awesome idea! Wish I had thought of it at my wedding! Everyone loves hard cider and the bottles are so creative! This must be one crafty bride and groom….
Wow! What a nice personnel touch. Great idea.
I don’t know if my vote counts since I’m the groom; but I’ll take the credit for picking those high up and hard to reach apples.
A truly original idea that reflects the creativeness of the bride and groom in the use of regional products and personal touch as a special remembrance for their wedding guests. I vote for a win on this one!
I love this one!! I was worried at first I was picking it because I love the wallpaper…but really home made hard cider?? With beautiful labels?? It makes me think of a wonderful fall day…this is my pick

Yes. Great Idea.
Oregon original — I assume there’s a five-cent bottle return after a toast to the bride and groom? I vote for this one.
Fabulous! Fun and creative project, and I love the design of the labels and the style of the bottles. I’m sure the Oregon cider is delicious as well. This one gets my vote!
